How EV Charge Grid works

You answer eight questions and get a modelled cost range plus the incentives we can verify for your area. If you ask to be contacted, we pass your details to a small number of licensed installers — named to you before you agree — who pay us for the introduction. They quote you; we never do, and we take nothing from the installation price.

    You get the range first

    The estimate renders before we ask for a phone number. It is a modelled range from your answers and national installed-cost data, broken into line items so you can see which part of the job is expensive.

  2. 02

    We resolve your local layer

    Your ZIP resolves to a serving utility, or to a set of candidates if the ZIP straddles a boundary, in which case we ask which one is on your bill rather than guessing. Then we apply the programs we can actually verify.

    You choose whether to be contacted

    The consent checkbox is unchecked and it names every installer who could receive your details. If we do not yet have a confirmed installer in your area, we say so instead of showing you a list.

  4. 04

    A named installer calls you

    Licensed and insured, verified against the issuing state's public licence lookup before they receive anything. They confirm the panel and the run on site and give you a written quote.

  5. 05

    You can stop it at any time

    Reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us. We honour a revocation across every installer we sent your details to, not just the one you told.

How we get paid, stated plainly

Installers pay us a fixed fee for each qualified introduction. It is a fee for the introduction, not a commission on your job, so it does not change the price you are quoted and it gives us no reason to inflate the estimate. We do not sell your details to anyone outside the installers named in the consent you signed.

What we are not

  • We are not an electrical contractor. We hold no electrical licence and we perform no work.
  • We are not a directory. We do not publish lists of installers for you to call, because we would rather be accountable for the one introduction we make than take credit for a phone book.
  • We are not a review site. We publish no ratings and no testimonials, because we have no defensible way to verify them at national scale.
