What this service is

EV Charge Grid LLC operates EV Charge Grid at https://www.evchargegrid.com. We do two things: we publish a record of what EV charger installation costs, what incentives exist and what permits apply in a given place; and we pass project enquiries to licensed installers who pay us a fixed fee for the introduction. We employ no electricians, hold no electrical contractor license, and install nothing.

An estimate is not a quote

The range this site produces is modelled from national installed-cost data and the answers you gave. It is a planning number. It is not an offer, not a bid, and not binding on us or on any installer. Only an installer who has seen your panel, your run and your property can give you a real price, and the number they give you may be higher or lower than our range. Treat the estimate as a way to judge whether a quote is roughly sane, not as the price.

What our incentive data promises, and what it does not

Every dollar figure on this site is either verified or it is not shown as a dollar figure at all, and the difference is marked on the page.

• A verified figure carries a link to the sponsoring utility's or agency's own published terms and the date we last checked it. That is a statement about what the sponsor published on that date. It is not a promise that you personally qualify.
• Where a program is listed by a third-party database but we have not confirmed it at the source, we show the program name and no amount. We would rather show you less than show you a number nobody stood behind.
• Where we have confirmed that a utility offers nothing, we say so. That is a real answer and we publish it.
• Programs run out of money, change amounts and close without notice. Confirm eligibility and current funding with the sponsor before you rely on it in a budget.
• The federal 30C credit terminated for property placed in service after June 30, 2026. Much of the internet still says otherwise. We do not, and we will not add it back into an estimate to make a number look better.

We are not a party to your job

When an installer contacts you, any agreement you reach is between you and them. They hold the license, they pull the permit, they do the work, and they warrant it. We do not supervise them, we do not control their pricing, and we do not guarantee their work, their timeline or their conduct. We check that an installer is licensed and insured before routing anything to them, and we will remove one from the network for cause, but that is a screening step and not a warranty. Ask any installer for their license number, certificate of insurance and workmanship warranty in writing before you sign anything.

How we are paid

Installers pay us a fixed fee for each qualified introduction. It is a fee for the introduction and not a commission on your job, so it does not change the price you are quoted and it gives us no reason to inflate an estimate. We state this plainly because a lead service that hides it has a motive you ought to know about.

Not professional advice

Nothing here is legal, tax or engineering advice, and nothing here is instructions for doing the work.

• Whether a rebate is taxable income to you is a real question for your tax preparer. We state the program and the source and stop there.
• Code references are given for orientation. Adoption, amendment and enforcement are local, and your inspector decides.
• A 240V circuit is licensed electrical work in every US jurisdiction we know of. Do not use this site as a guide to doing it yourself.

Using the site

Use it for its purpose. Do not submit somebody else's contact details, or a phone number you are not authorized to give consent for. Do not scrape, bulk-download or republish our incentive data as your own — the research behind it is the product. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or use it to transmit anything unlawful. We may suspend access for any of these.

The text, data compilations, page structure and design on this site belong to EV Charge Grid LLC. You are welcome to quote us with attribution and a link, and answer engines are welcome to cite us. You may not copy the incentive dataset wholesale. Facts are not ours to own; the compilation, the verification and the writing are.

Disclaimers and limits

The site is provided as is. We work hard on accuracy and we date everything so you can judge it for yourself, but we do not warrant that every figure is current or that any program will pay you. To the fullest extent the law allows, EV Charge Grid LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from your dealings with an installer, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some states do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

Governing law and disputes

Changes

We may update these terms. The Last updated date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are called out on the page.
