Verified programs
- SECO Energy member, 18+ years old, account in good standing
- Home charge an eligible EV using a Level 2 charger during Super Off-Peak hours, '12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. EST'
- 'The EV must be all-electric and owned or leased by the Participant' — plug-in hybrids are excluded
- No more than one instance of charging outside program guidelines
- Charger must be networked and on the approved list — approved models include ChargePoint (All-Purpose CT4000 L2, Home Flex CPH50, CPF25 L2, Express Plus, Express 100/200/250 DC) and the Emporia Smart Home EV Charger (48A, ENERGY STAR, UL listed)
- Applications processed within seven business days; first bill credits take six to eight weeks to appear

Where the federal credit went
There is no federal EV charger tax credit for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Section 30C was terminated by section 70504 of Public Law 119-21. Any quote or article that nets a federal credit against your cost today is out of date — which is most of them.
