- Level 2 (208/240V) EVSE, wall or pedestal-mounted -- mobile chargers/connectors (including Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector) are NOT eligible
- Must have a dedicated 208/240V circuit not shared with any other equipment
- Must be new, customer-purchased equipment (not used, refurbished, rented, gifted, or won)
- Must not have been purchased through another utility's marketplace/online store
- Property owner or has the property owner's express written permission
- Submission required online within 6 months of installation date
- Subject to GPCCO field-audit verification; unverified installs forfeit or must repay the rebate
- Georgia Power residential customer
- Opt-in rate plan; 12-month commitment; $30 new-account establishment fee; deposit up to 2x monthly average may apply

- Commercial & Industrial billing rate; multifamily house account under a business entity name may qualify if on residential rate, subject to review (see sibling multifamily program for the dedicated multifamily rebate track)

- Newly purchased Level 2 (208/240V) or DCFC EVSE, dedicated circuit, NRTL-certified, no mobile/portable connectors
- Installed by licensed electrician or certified electrical worker
- Apply within the calendar year of installation or not more than 6 months after installation date
- Applicant must maintain EVSE in good working order for minimum 5 years; T&Cs remain in effect 5 years from installation
- Documentation required: site plans, charger spec sheet, paid installation invoice ($0 balance), paid charger invoice, W-9, photos of each charger, serial numbers

Where the federal credit went
There is no federal EV charger tax credit for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Section 30C was terminated by section 70504 of Public Law 119-21. Any quote or article that nets a federal credit against your cost today is out of date — which is most of them.
