California is served by 64 electric utilities in our records. 33 list an EV program and 28 are on record offering nothing at all. Which one serves your address is not a detail — it is usually the whole answer, and it can change at a city boundary rather than a ZIP boundary.
The federal credit is gone
There is no federal EV charger tax credit for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Section 30C was terminated by section 70504 of Public Law 119-21. Most published guidance still says otherwise; it has not been updated.
